Nymos is a Mac app that renames files in bulk by reading what is actually inside them.
Drop in a folder or files and Nymos reads each file; text, metadata, EXIF, with built-in OCR for scans, then suggests one clear, findable name. Nothing is renamed until you approve it. Review the batch, edit any suggestion inline, apply one file or all of them, and undo a whole batch afterwards from the rename history.
57 formats—PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, images (JPEG, PNG, HEIC, RAW), audio, and video named from their embedded details.
Templates put the date, vendor, subject, and amount in the order you want. Add Finder tags, move renamed files to a destination folder, or set a watch folder that handles a download the moment it lands. A Finder service and a menu-bar icon put Nymos one right-click away.
The interface runs in Dutch, Spanish, or English—and the language Nymos writes filenames in is its own setting. A Dutch consultant with a Spanish client does not have to pick one.
